Madison's Jerry Kelly held the lead after the first and 3rd days of the PGA Tour's Verizon Heritage. It's the 2nd and 4th days that cost him.
Boo Weekley picked up his first win on tour by shooting a 3-under par 68 to beat Ernie Els by one shot. Weekley chipped in twice on the final two holes to hang on to the win, finishing 14-under par for the tournament.
Kelly started the day 13-under, but struggled in the windy conditions, shooting a 6-over par 77 to finish at 7-under par for the tournament and in a tie for 8th place. The result means Kelly failed to end his 5-year victory drought on the PGA Tour.
