Two Kenosha women – one of whom is a former standout high school athlete – are facing drug charges in Minnesota.
Abby Padlock and Aisha Lyons, both 24-years-old, were arrested in October after the Minnesota State Patrol received a tip that they were possibly transporting drugs from Portland, Oregon to Kenosha. A hanging seat belt gave troopers grounds to stop the vehicle, and during a search, 114 pounds of marijuana in 76 packages were allegedly found in the car’s trunk.
According to the Kenosha News, Padlock was an all-state volleyball player and led Tremper High School to the WIAA Division 1 state title in 2008. She went on to compete for Missouri State and the University of Indianapolis.
Both women are scheduled to appear in court in December.
