After not winning a single Nascar Sprint Cup race last year, Cambridge, Wi., native Matt Kenseth is 2 for 2 in the winners circle in 2009.  Kenseth won the rain shortened Daytona 500 last week and yesterday won the Auto Club 500 in Fontana, California.

Kenseth became the fourth Daytona 500 winner to also win the next race, joining Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough and Jeff Gordon.  Gordon is the last to accomplish the feat, back in 1997.  Ironically, it was Gordon who finished second yesterday.  Gordon hasn't won a points race since 2007.  It's also Kenseth's 3rd win at the Auto Club Speedway in the last four years.

The victory was the 18th of Kenseth's career.
