The Kewaunee Storm finished runner-up in their first four state championship games, dating back to 2001.  They finally pulled into the winners circle on Thursday night, defeating Broadhead-Juda 41-21 to win the WIAA Division 4 Championship.

Senior running back Craig Christman rushed for 169 yards and three second-half touchdowns as Kewaunee erased an early 14-7 deficit and outscored the Cardinals 27-7 in the second half.

Kewaunee (14-0) scored on the first play from scrimmage, a 66-yard touchdown pass to Mike Lux.  Defensively, the Storm got three interceptions from senior Jordan Schmidt.
