Tim Wakefield’s knuckleball did in the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday.  Wakefield held the Brewers to 3-hits over 8-innings as the Boston Red Sox pulled out a 12-3 win at Fenway on Sunday.

Wakefield had little worries after the Red Sox scored 6-times off of Yovani Gallardo (8-4) in the first inning.  Gallardo was hit for 8-runs in all, on 9-hits.  He struck out only 4 in three-plus innings.

Kevin Youkilis hit a three-run homer to highlight Boston’s six-run first inning.

Nyjer Morgan and Prince Fielder homered for the Brewers in the loss.  Milwaukee dropped 2 of 3 to the Red Sox in the series and finished 2-5 on their recent 7-game road trip.

The Brewers return to Miller Park to host Tampa Bay tonight.
