The attorney for Calumet County District Attorney Ken Kratz is denying new allegations of inappropriate conduct.

Governor Doyle’s office on Monday released a letter from a woman who claims she met Kratz on an online dating site, and they went out for dinner last December. The woman claims Kratz shared confidential information from a murder investigation. She also alleged he invited her to the autopsy, if she would be his girlfriend and wear a skirt and high heels.

Kratz’s attorney, Bob Craanen, says those claims are not true. He says Kratz and the woman did have dinner the day before an autopsy, but it’s ridiculous to imply she was invited to attend. Craanen says Kratz also denies sharing information about the investigation.

Craanen says the claims are likely the result of the now high profile stories about Kratz sending sexually themed text messages to a domestic abuse victim. He says the claims of the woman 10 months after having dinner with Kratz are just not credible.

Kratz is currently on medical leave from his job. Governor Doyle has announced he will begin the process of trying to remove him from office. The Department of Justice announced today it will serve as prosecutor in those removal proceedings.
