In front of more than 63,000 (63,047) fans on Saturday night at Lambeau Field, second round pick Eddie Lacy got a chance to show his stuff with the pads on and live tackling.

Lacy rushed 8-times for 65 yards (unofficial) and a (8.1 per carry average).

What Lacy brought to the field on Saturday night, is what the Packers have been lacking for the past few seasons.  Lacy said the offensive line did a great job.

Fellow rookie running back Johnathan Franklin (4th round) didn’t fare as well on Saturday night.  Franklin unofficially tallied 18-yards on 7 carries.  He also dropped a kickoff in the endzone.

Franklin had performed well during the first week of training camp and didn’t have a lot of running room on Saturday night.
