There’s a concern that a highly addictive drug could make its way to Wisconsin. Lieutenant Brad Dunlap is the director of the Lake Winnebago Area MEG Unit. He said it’s known as Krokodil, and addicts typically die within two years.
Dunlap said the lethal drug is made using codeine, gasoline, and lighter fluid. A user’s skin can turn green and scaly, around the injection site, just like a crocodile’s. Dunlap said they don’t have any confirmed cases yet. Krokodil is cheaper than heroin. The DEA said Russian drug agents found that more young adults were using the drug, because of that.
