The ex-girlfriend of a central Wisconsin legislator was in court Thursday, on charges she stole more than $3,000 from him. Lisa Brabazon faces 15 felony charges of forgery and four misdemeanor charges of fraudulently using a credit card. She claims state Rep. Scott Suder (R-Abbottsford) gave her permission to write the checks and make cash withdrawals while she lived with him at his Abbotsford home last year. But Suder denies it. He says he noticed the theft when his checkbook register didn't match up with the bank statements he received. Brabazon's preliminary hearing on the forgery charges is set for June 2nd. She appears for an indigency hearing next week to determine whether she's eligible for a county-appointed attorney.
