The League of Women Voters is offering training for elections observers. The League’s Andrea Kaminski said this effort for November 6th will be the organization’s fourth such program since 2011. “What we’ve heard from observers is that this is a good experience, to be an election observer,” said Kaminski “They see all the issues that can come up during the course of a hectic day.”

The League will provide nonpartisan, on-line training and a packet of materials, a polling place assignment, and a hotline number for reporting problems. “We will be partnering with Wisconsin Election Protection, which will have lawyers who are experts in Wisconsin elections law, to take concerns and answer questions,” said Kaminski.

The League, which had more than 150 observers at polling places during the June 5th recalls, will be sharing the information they gather with state elections officials.
