A Fond du Lac man is under arrest, after police say he tried to use a U.S. Marshals badge to get drugs from a pharmacy.
Fond du Lac Police Captain Steve Klein says the 54-year-old was arrested at the Aurora Health Center Tuesday, after he flashed a badge to staff in an attempt to get Oxycodone and Morphine. Klein says the man claimed he needed the drugs for an assignment.
The man’s story quickly fell apart and police were called to the scene. During the investigation, Klein says the man admitted to officers that the badge, which was real, came from his private collection of law enforcement badges.

Police say the man from North Fond du Lac also had a gun in his car. He’s now facing charges for impersonating an officer, obtaining a prescription by fraud, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
