A traffic crash east of Wausau Friday morning killed one teenager and injured nine others.
The crash of a large sport utility vehicle along Highway 52 in the Town of Easton happened at 9:52 a.m., and several ambulances and rescue staff were called to the scene.
One teen died at the scene. Two of the injured teenagers were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, two more to St. Claire’s Hospital in Weston, and the other five were taken to Aspirus Wausau Hospital. The names of the victims and the extent of their injuries have not been released.
Marathon County Sheriff’s Department and Wisconsin State Patrol investigators are still at the scene.
