Jamil Wilson scored 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Marquette to a 77-66 win over Seton Hall on Tuesday night.

Davante Gardner added 16 points and 6 rebounds as the Golden Eagles
(14-10, 6-5 Big East) earned a 2-game series sweep over Seton Hall.

The Pirates (13-11, 4-7) shot almost 54% from three-point distance and 48% overall, but Marquette hit 30 of 34 free throws and won the battle on the boards 32-19.

Seton Hall didn’t have their big man Gene Teague in the first meeting.  He didn’t matter much in last night’s rematch.  Marquette held Teague to two shots in 23 minutes of playing time last night.

Marquette is still holding out hopes of finding a spot in the NCAA Tournament.  They’ll need to finish the regular season strong and have a good showing in the Big East Tournament to have a chance.
