Not only did the Marquette Golden Eagles win a Big East road game, which are hard to come by, but they did it with a convincing 89-64 win over Seton Hall in Newark, New Jersey.
Marquette held the Pirates without a point for a 9-minute span in the first half, opened up a 17 point lead and held that double digit lead the rest of the way.
Sophomore forward Lazar Hayward scored 23 points and pulled down 9 rebounds to lead Marquette. Jerel McNeal and Wesley Matthews each added 14 points.
Marquette returns to action at the Bradley Center on Friday night against Pittsburgh.
