Marquette’s NCAA Tournament hopes took another big setback in Saturday’s 91-90 double overtime loss to St. John’s on Senior Day at the Kohl Center.

D’Angelo Harrison scored 20 points and buried a three with 57-seconds left in the second overtime to tie the game.  Rysheed Jordan hit 1 free throw for St. John’s with 13.9 seconds left to win it.

The Red Storm (20-11, 10-8 Big East) locked up the fifth seed in the upcoming Big East Tournament, while Marquette (17-14, 9-9) ge the six-seed.

Todd Mayo scored 20 points and hit the game tying basket in regulation to force overtime.  He eventually fouled out in the second overtime.  The Golden Eagles now head into the Big East tournament with three-straight losses, two of the three coming in double overtime.
