Marriage will be defined in the state of Wisconsin as being between a man and a woman. Julaine Appling led the Vote Yes for Marriage effort and says getting it passed was truly a grassroots effort. "We've done what we could with the resources we had," said Appling. "It appears marriage has won."

With just over 40% of precints reporting, the Defense of Marriage Act, which ammends the state Constitution to define marriage as being between one man and one woman, has recieved the support of 57.8% of the voters.
