Thousands of John McCain supporters turned out at the Resch Center in Green Bay Thursday night to hear McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin speak. Palin spent much of her time on stage criticizing Democratic Presidential Nominee Barack Obama. Palin is known for standing up to corrupt operatives of her own political party in her home state of Alaska, something she claims Obama has never done.
"In order to get others to say yes to change, has he (Obama) ever told his own party no? When it comes to reform has he ever said 'I did' instead of 'I will?"

McCain attacked Democratic running mate Joe Biden's claim that paying more taxes is patriotic for the wealthy. The Arizona Senator got the loudest applause from the crowd of 11,000 when he said it's, "just plain dumb" to raise taxes in a tough economy.

McCain will speak again in Green Bay on Friday at the city's Chamber of Commerce.  Barack Obama, meanwhile, makes a visit to Green Bay Monday, just two weeks after his VP choice made a stop there.
