It would appear more and more that the Green Bay Packers are going to give Johnny Jolly a chance
to make their football team this season.
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said this weekend that Jolly has been in Green Bay but is still working through some matters relating to his three-year suspension from the NFL for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy.

The 30-year-old Jolly served six months of a six-year term in jail for violating probation following multiple arrests for felony codeine possession. He was reinstated by the NFL in February and placed on 10-years shock probation.
Jolly hasn’t played in the NFL since 2009 and has missed three full seasons. He’s scheduled to make $715,000 this season after the Packers reduced his salary from $2.5-million.
