Former Milwaukee Alderman Michael McGee Junior gets 6-1/2 years in prison on federal convictions of bribery and extortion of businesses in his district.  The foreperson of that jury was Racine Alderman Greg Helding. He calls the sentencing "justice being served."

Helding says the sentence takes away the power that McGee wielded, even while incarcerated. He adds corrupt officials like McGee feed on the power and being "part of the system."

McGee could have received up to 15-1/2 years in prison under federal sentencing guidelines. With good behavior the disgraced former official may only serve 4 1/2 years behind bars.

McGee still facing state charges of buying votes in a 2006 recall election and arranging the beating of a man.
