Wisconsin Badger forward Corbin McGuire has been suspended for one game by the Big Ten Conference today.
McGuire, who is a redshirt freshman forward out of Ridgefield, Conn., received a major penalty for kneeing in Saturday night’s game against the Minnesota Gophers at the Kohl Center.
McGuire is ineligible to play in the Badgers series opener this Friday (Feb. 6) at Penn State.
McGuire has a goal and an assist for two points in 21 games for the Badgers this season.
Wisconsin skated to a 4-4 tie against the Gophers on Saturday night, then was awarded the extra point in the standings by winning a shootout. It’s the second shootout win for the Badgers against the Gophers in the last two weeks.
