The Major League Baseball trade deadline is coming up at the end of July and Milwaukee Brewers General Manager Doug Melvin said there's not much going on when it comes to any dealing.

Melvin was in San Francisco for the All-Star game and said he had some conversations with other GM's but nothing was in the works.

Melvin said the club the Brewers have right now is capable of being a playoff team.  He said he'd keep an open mind to deals but didn't think the Brewers had any pressing needs right now.

Melvin also said there's no one real impact player available right now, unlike a year ago when Carlos Lee and Alfonso Soriano were on the blocks.
