A Marshfield man who cashed in on a million dollar lottery ticket is headed to prison. Thirty-four-year-old Rafael Ruiz entered a plea deal Monday, admitting guilt to repeated sexual assault of a child and a similar charge with a repeat offender enhancer.

Ruiz was in Marathon County court, where several other charges were dismissed but read into the record. The other charges were all related to inappropriate exposure and sexual actions with a child, including his step child.

The crimes occurred between 2011 and 2014. Ruiz won the lottery in 2009 by matching five out of six Powerball numbers and the powerplay. That ticket paid him just over $682,000 dollars after taxes. A court date for sentencing has not been set.
