The window has closed on a chance to redeem a Wisconsin lottery ticket worth a million dollars. The ticket was purchased in Caledonia on August 26th and the 180 days to claim the money has passed. In this case, the prize winner did not win the Powerball jackpot but matched five regular numbers and had a PowerPlay prize multiplier making it a $1 million prize.

Bohage says the all of the unclaimed prize money will go to state residents to help offset property taxes.

This is only the second time in the state lottery’s 22-year-history that a million dollar ticket has gone unclaimed, the first being in 1993.
