Milwaukee police on Wednesday released body cam video of the January arrest of Bucks rookie Sterling Brown. Brown appears to be tazed and brought to the ground about the 8 minute mark of the video.
It happened in the parking lot of a Walgreens in the early morning hours of January 26, after officers found Brown’s car parked across two handicapped parking spots.
“The Department conducted an investigation into the incident which revealed members acted inappropriately and those members were recently disciplined,” Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales said at a Wednesday press conference. “Criminal charges against Mr. Brown were not pursued. I am sorry this incident escalated to this level.”
“The abuse and intimidation that Sterling experienced at the hands of Milwaukee Police was shameful and inexcusable. Sterling has our full support as he shares his story and takes action to provide accountability,” the statement read.
Brown was not charged.
