An unbelievable sight greeted motorists at a busy intersection on Madison’s east side this week. Police say 21-year-old Tawanna Rhynes left her 2 year-old boy in the middle of turn lanes, so she could chase down and beat up her boyfriend. “One of the witnesses said it appeared the woman was more interested in pursuing the male half of this relationship, to she could punch him, rather than the safety of this child,” said Police spokesman Joel DeSpain. “There were cars hitting the brakes, other drivers swerving around the child.” A passerby picked up the little boy and kept him safe until officers arrived. Rhynes faces numerous charges, including 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety.
