Fond du Lac County District Attorney Dan Kaminsky says there’s still time to file additional charges in a fatal motorcycle accident. Clinton Lovelace was in court late last week for a preliminary hearing. He is accused of driving into a group of motorcyclists on May 31, leading to the deaths of two of them while injuring seven others. The 25-year-old already faces charges including reckless homicide and reckless endangerment.
Kaminsky says they have 30 days from the preliminary hearing to file the information that will include the final charging document. The D.A. says they are waiting on blood test results from the state crime lab. Two un-opened syringes were found in Lovelace’s pants and a pending drug case in Calumet County will also factor into the charges.
Two of the motorcyclists are still fighting for their lives at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. Kaminsky says depending on how they do charges could be amended in the future.
