Wisconsin running back Montee Ball has been named the Offensive Player of the Week in the Big Ten Conference for the 3rd time this season.  Ball shares the honor with Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson.

Ball rushed for two scores and added another on the receiving end to bring his season total to a Big Ten record 30 touchdowns, becoming just the fifth player in FBS history to score 30 or more touchdowns in a season.

Ball rushed for a total of 224 yards in Wisconsin’s come-from-behind 28-17 win over Illinois on Saturday.  164 of the yards came after halftime.  Ball surpassed the 100-yard mark for the seventh time this season.

Wisconsin linebacker Chris Borland is the Big Ten’s Defensive Player of the Week.

Borland recorded a career-high 16 tackles, adding 1.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles in Wisconsin’s victory over Illinois.

Borland was a part of a Badger defense that held Illinois scoreless in the second half and forced four turnovers in the game.

It’s the second weekly honor for Borland this season and the third of his career.
