With free agency set to begin this week, the talk of Randy Moss possibly becoming a  Green Bay Packer is heating up.  I've read internet reports that there is an offer on the table that would send backup quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the Raiders for Moss.

I'll stand by my initial feeling by saying it would be a mistake to land Moss.  Do I think he's a receiver that could help?  Yes!  He clearly is a talented receiver.  But can he go a whole season without becoming a problem or a distraction?  No, I don't think so.

There hasn't been a time in Moss's career in which he hasn't melted down in some way, shape or form.  If things don't go right, he stops running good routes.  Then he becomes easy to cover and subsequently, doesn't get the ball.  That's when the distraction part kicks in.

How do you think Brett Favre will react to a guy that stops running routes the proper way.

On the other hand, Moss would certainly bring some interest to the team.  His potential to help an offense that lacked weapons last season could be huge.

You know what, why not.  At least it'll give us something to talk about.  And when Moss does slip up, it'll be fun to watch all of the Packer fans that think this is a good idea, do a complete 180 and try to run Moss out of town.
