The Barron County Sheriff’s Department is reporting that a suspicious death case from early Monday morning is being ruled a homicide. The victim is identified as 33-year old Daniel Raven of Barron. The preliminary cause of death is gunshot wounds. A press release from Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald says investigators are following up on leads and possible suspects in the case. They do not believe the public is not in any danger.

The investigation is ongoing and active. A formal autopsy is being conducted. The Barron County Sheriff’s Department is being assisted on this case by the Barron County Medical Examiner, the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation.
