A Northeast Wisconsin museum and the Target Corporation are teaming up on a fall clothing spread for students.
Jim Moran, Director of the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum in Two Rivers, says Target first contacted them about a retreat for company designers. The project never materialized but Moran’s brother and Hamilton’s Artistic Director, Bill, further pursued the Minneapolis based mega-retailer.
Upon visiting Hamilton, a Target representative had an “amazing reaction” to their posters. Eventually the “Cool Never Fades” marketing campaign was born and the clothing line premieres today.
Moran says it’s a great thing to have such a large company showing interest in their history. “It probably goes a ways to secure our future for a time.”
The museum opened in 1999 and Hamilton has had a presence in Two Rivers since 1880.
