One year before election 2012, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus talks about his party’s plans to win in November. Priebus points to President Obama’s poor job performance. “I think that Americans and people in Wisconsin are starving for leaders; they’re starving for people of their word; people who say what they’re gonna do and they do it.”
Governor Scott Walker faces a recall well before the general election, and pundits say that outcome could be indicative of election results in November.
Graeme Zielinski with the Wisconsin Democratic Party disputes Priebus’ claims that Walker is a good leader, saying Walker would be “fired in a heartbeat” if he were a CEO of a company. He says Democrats aren’t the only ones who want to get rid of Walker. “There’s a lot of Republicans who are joining us with independents and progressives who wanna see Scott Walker out of here, and the wishful thinking of his friends in Washington isn’t gonna save him.”
Priebus says money that Democrats should spend on Obama’s reelection campaign is being wasted on recalling Walker. “Democrats seem just giddied with another round of them blowing another $30 million and throwing it down a toilet within 10 months of a presidential election.”
Priebus says Americans are tired of the constant campaigning and all the recall elections. Wisconsin, Indiana, and Iowa are considered to be key states in the presidential campaign.
