Unbeaten and 5th ranked UW-Oshkosh advanced to the second round of the
NCAA Division 3 football playoffs by rolling to a 55-10 win over St. Scholastica (Minn.) on Saturday at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh.
Oshkosh advanced to play Bethel University (Minn.) on Nov. 24. Bethel University advanced with a 24-23 win over Concordia University-Chicago.
The Titans earned their 13th straight victory, the longest winning streak in NCAA Division III. It came in the Titans very first NCAA Division III playoff game.
The Titans scored 8 touchdowns in 10 possessions, totalling 600 yards, 413 of which on the ground.
UWO’s Cole Myhra rushed 25 times for a career-high 198 yards and three touchdowns, while catching three passes for 10 yards and a score.
St. Norbert falls
St. Norbert College gave up four second-quarter touchdowns and fell to St. Thomas (Minn.) 48-17 in an opening round NCAA Division III playoff game at O’Shaughnessy Stadium.
The Green Knights (8-3) fell to 1-10 all-time in the NCAA Division III Playoffs. St. Thomas (11-0) will face Elmhurst in a second-round game next weekend in St. Paul.
