It may be too early to tell what kind of stimulus plan the federal government could pass next year.

That's according to Congressman Ron Kind (D-WI), who expects the federal government will pass another stimulus package early next year. However, he says it's not clear exactly what will be in there or how large it will be. For now, he says lawmakers and the president-elect are busy gathering information from all sectors of the economy to help determine what is best for the nation.

The La Crosse Democrat expects at least part of the plan to focus on the nation's infrastructure. He says that's a sure way to create jobs and provide a ripple effect through the economy.

Kind wants to see a focus on developing new energy technologies and encouraging more Americans to begin using methods other than oil. Kind also says the nation needs to focus on education and research, so we can stay competitive with other nations.
