A Fox Valley lawmaker goes to bat, for a longstanding Packer tradition.

Representative Steve Wieckert (R-Appleton) says for years, the Packers' opponents have stayed at a hotel in Appleton, and have been escorted to Lambeau Field by a couple of local law enforcement agencies, and for years, there have apparently been no problems. But now, there's been a question raised concerning the legality of these escorts.

Wieckert has sought an attorney general's opinion on the matter, and if that opinion is that is really is illegal for the cops to escort the NFL teams up to Lambeau, Wieckert already has a bill drafted that will clear away those legal roadblocks.
