The National Football League is reportedly looking into whether Green Bay Packers' players offered payments to teammates for achieving specific defensive goals. That's against league rules.
ESPN reported Monday that Packers defensive backs offered the teams defensive lineman $500 each if they were able to hold Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson under 100 yards rushing two weeks ago, and another $500 for holding Carolina to under 60 yards as a team on Sunday.
When asked about the report at his Monday press conference, Packers coach Mike McCarthy claimed to know nothing about any investigation.
