A national call for immigration reform sparks action in Wisconsin as about 100 people gathered outside of Congresswoman Gwen Moore's Milwaukee office late Wednesday. Jorge Islas Martinez called the rally a celebration of a new President. He and others hope that the federal goverment will put an end to immigration raids.

Voces de la Frontera, who helped organize the event, says folks turned out nationwide to send a message to the new President and Congress to take action on new immigration legislation within 100 days.

Jerry Shrader of South Milwaukee says there needs to be an easier path for undocumented to obtain legal status and become "active members of this community."

Members of the group delivered petitions to Moore's office. Afterward they headed to Saint John's Cathedral for a prayer service.
