Milwaukee Bucks logo 11The Milwaukee Bucks are standing pat, choosing not to shake up its young core of players by not making any deals before Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.

ESPN says the Bucks made an offer to pick up center Dwight Howard, but he would not agree to stay with Milwaukee after his contract runs out in July, so the Houston Rockets ended up keeping the 11-year veteran center after pitching him to at least seven teams.

In the end, Bucks coach Jason Kidd said the Bucks chose to strive for continuity, complete the season on a positive note, and then revisit their roster needs this summer.

Milwaukee is 22-32 after winning a pair of home games last week against Boston and Washington.

The Bucks will play their first game since the All-Star break on Friday night when they host the Charlotte Hornets at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
