The Florida-based American Association for Nude Recreation previously had New Belgium's Skinny Dip Beer as a sponsor for their annual convention, but they ran into a snag with this year's event in Michigan. The Wisconsin based brewer didn't have a distributorship in that state.
AANR Spokesperson Carolyn Hawkins says some of their members noticed an ad from Stevens Point Brewery for their Nude Beach beer. The members had an affection not only for the beer's name but its taste as well. Nude Beach is the latest seasonal brew from the company.
After contacting Stevens Point, Hawkins says the brewer has agreed to provide the Nude Beach beer for upcoming August convention.
Hawkins says AANR has 267 nudist clubs and resorts nationwide. She calls nudity, "a great way to live."
