The trial of the man who eluded capture in Racine and Kenosha County for weeks last fall after being named as a suspect in a homicide, has been set for September.
Andrew Obregon is accused of the murder of Tywon Anderson of Kenosha during a drug deal, the victim’s body found in a county corn field last September. Obregon lead law enforcement on several high speed chases, often losing his pursuers in corn fields in western Kenosha and Racine Counties, before being arrested in Lake County, Illinois after allegedly assaulting a woman and stealing her car.
During a brief hearing in Kenosha Circuit Court on Thursday, Andrew Obregon’s attorney, Carl Johnson, said he has not finished reviewing all the evidence in the case, and that could still take some time. A motion hearing has been scheduled in April.
Obregon is facing more than 30 felony and misdemeanor charges just in Kenosha County.
