The state’s Office of Lawyer Regulation is taking another look at complaints against Calumet County’s sexting District Attorney.

The OLR is reopening its case against Calumet County DA Ken Kratz, after the office was heavily criticized for how it originally handled complaints that he sent 30 text messages of a sexual nature to a domestic abuse victim.

The board, which oversees attorney behavior in Wisconsin, initially closed its investigation into a misconduct complaint against Kratz without taking any action.

In a statement, OLR director Keith Sellen says they have received substantial new information about what may be a pattern of conduct from Kratz, which allows the board to re-open its investigation.
