A decision from the Walker administration bans open carry in many state buildings. It’s a move Nik Clark of Wisconsin Carry finds puzzling. Clark claims some of his members were openly carrying in the Capitol recently, and encountered no objections. “I really don’t think there is any rationale for it, other than the fact that I think there’s some people in the administration that seem to think that there’s going to be some kind of uncomfortable-ness in seeing a sidearm on a law abiding citizen’s hip.” said Clark. Under the new policy from the state Department of Administration, those carrying openly will be asked to leave state buildings. Concealed carry permit holders are allowed to carry in the Capitol and many other state buildings.
