The Green Bay Packers have activated TE Andrew Quarless from injured reserve – designated for return and placed WR Ty Montgomery on injured reserve.
Quarless, the first of two fifth-round draft picks by the Packers in the 2010 NFL Draft, has started 26 of 58 games played for Green Bay in his career. Quarless has 87 receptions for 923 yards (10.6 avg.) and six touchdowns. He played in three games this season before suffering a knee injury in week 3 against Kansas City.
Montgomery played in six games with three starts this season, catching 15 passes for 136 yards (9.1 avg.) and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 14 yards on three attempts (4.7 avg.) and averaged 31.1 yards on seven kickoff returns.
As a third-round pick, Montgomery has a split-salary clause in his contract. He’ll make $18,705.88 per week for the remainder of the season.
