Ken DeBauche Former Wisconsin Badger punter Ken DeBauche (pronounced De-Bush), a nearby Bay Port High School graduate, has agreed to sign a free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers.

DeBauche averaged 42.5 yards on punts during his career with the Badgers.  He also brings added value as a holder on place-kicks.

He becomes the second Green Bay area punter to punt for the Badgers and sign a free agent deal with the Packers.  Former Green Bay Preble high school star Kevin Stemke signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2001.

DeBauche visited the Packers' facility a few weeks ago in advance of the draft.  He also worked out for the Rams and the Saints.

DeBauche will compete for the Packers punting job with veteran incumbant Jon Ryan and first-year player Ryan Dougherty, who spent some time in camp with the Packers last season.
