Mike McCarthy said Clifton suffered a back injury while rehabbing his pulled hamstring.

In other injury news, Desmond Bishop and A.J. Hawk, both of whom suffered calf injuries in the Lions game, didn’t practice on Wednesday and won’t practice again today.  McCarthy said their condition will be evaluated Friday.  If they can’t play against the Giants on Sunday, than Robert Francois and D.J. Smith would go in their place.

The Packers also ruled out right guard Josh Sitton with a knee sprain.  That means Evan Dietrich-Smith will likely make his first NFL start in his place.
