Aaron Rodgers tossed a career-high five touchdown passes as the Green Bay Packers knocked off the Chicago Bears 35-21 Christmas Night at Lambeau Field.  The win set a franchise record for wins in a season (14) and gave the Packers homefield advantage in the NFC playoffs.

Rodgers 5-TD tosses tied a Packers single game franchise record which had been done 7-times before.  The most recent was Brett Favre in 1998.  Also, Rodgers passed Lynn Dickey’s franchise record of 4458 passing yards in a season.  Rodgers now sits at 4643 on the season.

The biggest number of the night for the Packers offense may have been zero.  That is how many times Rodgers was sacked by the Bears defense.  The line consisted of just 3-players (Scott Wells, Josh Sitton, and T.J Lang) who started the regular season opener and one of those guys (Lang) was playing a different position.

The win also means that the regular season finale against the Detroit Lions Sunday will mean nothing more than a win or a loss.  Head Coach Mike McCarthy would not commit to a plan for his starters after the game.

The Packers and Lions will kickoff Sunday at noon.
