The Green Bay Packers were using Sunday night's matchup with the Dallas Cowboys as a measuring point. The would know when it was all over with, just exactly where they stand among the NFL's elite in the early stage of the season. Following the 27-16 loss by the Packers at Lambeau, they now know that at this point of the season, they don't measure up.
On offense, the Packers didn't do a lot, but on defense, they did nothing. Especially against the run, where the Cowboys rushed for 217 yards as a team. The Cowboys proved they were superior all the way around and it has the Packers immediately contentrating on improving.
The Packers offense didn't score a red zone touchdown until Aaron Rodgers scored on a 1-yard keeper with 2:11 left to play. They were 0 for their first 3 prior to that. Mike McCarthy will have his players back to work and they will correct their mistakes. Does that put them in the class of the Cowboys? The Packers are hoping to find that out in the playoffs.
