The Green Bay Packers released backup quarterback Ingle Martin over the weekend, leaving them with three quarterbacks left on the roster.

Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers are sure bets to make the roster, but Paul Thompson has no guarantees at all and will need to play well in the preseason finale to have a chance at the 53 man roster.  He may have a better chance at getting signed to the teams practice squad.

Both coach Mike McCarthy and general manager Ted Thompson say Martin could return to the Packers at sometime down the road, and there's also a decent possibility the Packers could go into the regular season with just two quarterbacks on their roster.
