Several thousand Packer fans made the trip to Chicago in what turned out to the trip well worth it as Green Bay routed the Bears to earn a trip to the Superbowl. Wind chills dipped to the single digits at Soldier Field Sunday causing some Packer fans to stand the rest of the game.

“I froze but it was worth it. It was a good game,” says Cyndy Gotter of New Auburn.

Cheeseheads made themselves heard, as chants of “Go Pack Go” could be heard in pockets of the Bears home. Greg Gotter says Bears fans gave some grief to Wisconsin guests but were gracious hosts in the end.

“After the game there was lot of people, bears fans, saying ‘come on go and beat the AFC,” he says.

Still, as Packer fans lingered to watch the presentation of the NFC Championship trophy on the field, it was moved inside, so there weren’t any incidents.

Now the Gotters say they’ve got a place to stay in Dallas now, they just need the Superbowl tickets and those could run in the thousands of dollars.
