To some Packers' fans, waiting for Brett Favre to make a decision on his future is no big deal. Most believe that Favre will eventually be back.
On the flip side, there's a number of fans that can't stand the wait, which is now more than a month old. Favre seems to drag this decision out year after year. It's like his annual right to take his sweet old time.
I was of the understanding that Favre was going to decide sooner this time. Is this it? Is Favre really considering hanging it up? Is he bothered by the fact that he's struggled in the cold weather this past season, something that has never been a problem before?
The Packers official stance is that Favre is worth the wait. Free agency hasn't arrived yet and the draft is well off, so there's not a huge pressing need yet to think about another quarterback.
I don't really have an idea what he's going to do, one way or another. Is he really having a tough time with this decision, or has he made his mind up a week or more ago, and he's just sitting on his choice? But consider this. Besides his tough finish, Favre's had his best season in recent memory. I thought this would be a rubber stamp decision. I think the Packers did to.
WISN-TV out of Milwaukee reported earlier this week that Favre was unhappy that Packers GM Ted Thompson hadn't called to ask him back. I really hope that's not true. If it is, then Favre needs to get over himself. Does he really need his ego stroked that much?
Alright, now I'm even losing patience. Come on Brett. What are you waiting for? Either come back or retire already.
We're waiting!!!!!!!!!
