Ted Thompson With Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila sidelined following knee surgery, the Green Bay Packers have shown some initial interest in Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor.

Taylor has indicated he wants out of Miami, but the Dolphins most recently have indicated a desire to keep him around for the upcoming season.  Taylor won the 2006 NFL Defensive Player of the Year award.

Packers General Manager Ted Thompson has recently discussed Taylor with Packers defensive coaches.  Defensive coordinator Bob Sanders and defensive tackles coach Robert Nunn both previously coached Taylor with the Dolphins and speak very highly of him.

It doesn't appear the Packers have too much in mind in terms of roster moves between now and the start of training camp, but a deal involving Taylor is a possibility.
